Haleem (In Pakistani's Style)
Hey Friends in today's blog I will share with you the Authentic Recipe of Haleem or you can say Daleem.I guess Daleem is the right name for this dish but people mostly say the name Haleem. Well It is a very long debate on this topic so to be neural....Just say whatever you like....!
This is a something which most of the people think that it is very difficult thing to make...but believe me if you know the real and super recipe...you will make it in a very easy way.....!
It's roots actually connected to persian Cusine and it is also very popular in India and Pakistan.... people love to eat Haleem and It's like and One proper dish for an occasion....well You can say that it is like a. Present when you giiv it to your relatives....!
So from this recipe you will easily make it at your home and everyone will love it.....!

WHAT YOU NEED FOR IT:
- 250gms haleem wheat and barley
- 3tsp dal/split pigeon peas
- 1/4 cup chana dal/skinned and split chick peas
- 1/4 cup urad dal/skinned and split black gram
- 1/4 cup masoor dal/split red lentils
- 1/4 cup moong dal/skinned and split green gram
- 3tsp rice
- 2lbs beef meat
- 250 gm onion sliced
- 1 tomato
- 3/4 yogurt
- 2-1/2 tsp ginger paste (for meat and lentils both)
- 2-1/2 garlic paste (for meat and lentils both)
- Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp black cumin seeds
- 4-5 black Cardamom
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2-3 bay leaf
- 5-6 cloves
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder,turmeric powder,cumin powder
- Jullien cut gingr for garnish
- Fresh coriander for garnish
- First of all take pressure cooker pot,add all the soaked lentils and 1-1/2 ginger garlic paste.
- Add generous amount of salt, cover the pot and let the pressure cook it ffor 45-50 minutes.
- In pressure cooker pot, heat the oil sizzle the whole spices.add half of the sliced onions sauté them till they get a nice light golden brown colour.
- Add meat,stir and mix and sauté it for about a minute,add ginger garlic paste and sauté it with meat till it Change it's colour. After about 4 to 5 minutes of cooking add three cups of water,cover the pot and let it cook for 25-30 minutes till meat becomes tender.
- Once the meat is cooked separate the meat from bones and discard the bones.
- Crush half of the meat with mortar and pestle to get fibery texture in Haleem. Add half of the meat to the lentils and grains pot to blend it with the blender.
- Do not blend the haleem for very long time just for 30 to 35 seconds.After blending the Haleem add the crushed meat and stir it very well and let it cook for further 20 minutes....!
- Keep stirring through out the cooking....! And yes Your Haleem is ready....!
- Enjoy it with Naan and sprinkle some coriander and lemon and garlic on it and enjoy it.....!
